Orders, Shipping & Returns Policy
We hope that you will be delighted with your purchase from Modern Botany, but we understand that on occasion you may need to return an item.
Withdrawal Requests and Order Cancellations
Only Products purchased on the www.modernbotany.com website can be returned to us for a refund or an exchange. Products purchased in a department store, specialty retailer or elsewhere must be returned to their original place of purchase.
We have a 14 day return policy, meaning that you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging. For health protection and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of products that have been opened, used, or where any tamper-evident seal has been broken after delivery.
We process orders quickly and, in many cases, orders are packed and dispatched shortly after they are placed. For this reason, we cannot guarantee that an order can be cancelled before shipment.
If your order has not yet been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
For customers residing in the European Union, your statutory right of withdrawal is not affected. You may exercise your statutory right of withdrawal using the Withdrawal Form available on our website. Submission of the Withdrawal Form constitutes notice of withdrawal in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection laws. Where a return is made under the right of withdrawal, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the products we sell, items cannot always be returned. Modern Botany is unable to accept return of certain items. You cannot return an item if:
• The product has been opened or used.
• Any tamper-evident seal has been broken after delivery.
• The product is non-returnable for health protection or hygiene reasons.
• The item has been personalised.
• The item is a Natural Deodorant product or Aroma product.
• The item is a gift card or sale item.
Return Postage
You will be responsible for the shipping/postage and insurance costs when returning an item to us. Please retain your postal receipt until it is confirmed that your parcel has been safely received by us, as we may require this if we do not receive the package. Return postage will only be refunded in case of damaged, defective or incorrectly sent products.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if a refund has been approved. We will do our best to process returns within 10 working days of receipt and if approved, a refund will be issued through the method used for payment. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at orders@modernbotany.com.
Damaged Items
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately at orders@modernbotany.com if your item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and rectify if necessary.
Should an item be damaged while it is being shipped to you, Modern Botany will provide you with a full refund or exchange.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
14 Day Cooling Off Period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped to a customer within the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason and without any justification. Please include your order number or order confirmation when requesting a return or exercising your right of withdrawal. This is in line with the EU Right of Withdrawal.
Outside of the EU
If you are returning an item from outside of the European Union, please mark your return parcel RETURNED GOODS-FAILED SALE so that there are no customs charges applied. If you have paid customs charges on the order you received and you are returning it to us, you should be able to claim a refund of duties from your local customs authority.
